Steel Springs

Ah, memories of the famous Aussie movie, that's what my legs felt like this morning on a 5k run. The first 3 kms were spent in a relaxed jog (my legs felt like tightly coiled springs), about 6:50mmin/km then at about the 3 K mark those steel springs released and I powered home with a pace of 5min/k over the last kilometer. Now it still felt relaxed and this might be due to the fact that the last 2k was downhill with a tailwind, but damn it felt like I was flying.

Anyway, back to training, aiming for 100k this month. Probably extent my 2.2k run tomorrow out a bit...maybe to 4k. See how I feel in the morning.
